ቤዛ ፖስቴሪቲ የልማት ድርጅት ከሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን በተገኘ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ በኦሮሚያ ክልል ምስራቅ ሐረርጌ ዞን ደደር ሳይት ለሚገኙ 150 ሀገር ውስጥ ተፈናቃዮች አስቸኳይ የምግብ እርዳታ አድርጓል። በስርጭቱ ላይ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን ም/ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ፋሲካው ሞላ እና የተለያዩ የወረዳው የመንግስት አካላት ተሳትፈዋል።
With the financial support of Authority for Civil Society Organizations/ACSO/, BPDO provided emergency assistance to 150 IDP’s in Oromia Region East Harerge Zone Deder Site. Ato Fassikaw Mola Duty Director of ACSO and Woreda level government representatives participated in the distribution session.

The aim of the project is enhancing commitment of humanitarian services/volunteer services for staff and the community at large. BPDO is working to enhancement of volunteer services through different trainings and other capacity building activities at all its intervention areas. As part of this, BPDO staff contribute up to 2% of their monthly salary and through resource mobilization from private organizations and communities. Currently, a total of 1,550 communities have been supported through different packages including nutrition, medical items, scholastics materials, cloths and psychological
treatments.
Beza posterity launched a radio program on volunteerism and it is named as “volunthiopia”. We urge every Beza community to participate in different activities demanded by the radio program.
BPDO believes that Community awareness creation and utilization of personal protective measures is a set of actions that persons and communities can take to help slow the spread of COVID-19 virus infections. BPDO covered a lot of towns through awareness creation. Individuals, communities, business centers, healthcare organizations, religious organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations are part of intervention areas we worked on. BPDO’s major topics that were covered during awareness creation and prevention of COVID-19 were, Know the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, Regularly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash your hands with soap and water, Maintain social distance with a distance of at least 2 meters between yourself and anyone, Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth before cleaning your hands, Stay at home, if you feel unhealthy please consult a health care worker, establish plans and cancel events, Self-quarantine for 14 days as recommendation.
