Core values for BPDO are the ideals and tenets that motivate the organization to achieve its vision. Our interactions with our beneficiaries, donors, and stakeholders are better managed, and it fosters a sense of belonging among the staff. Accountability & Transparency, Recognition &Respect, Volunteerism, Teamwork, and Partnership and Networking are the current five core values of BPDO. For the purpose of having a better understanding of each core value, the management team has assigned people to present it in-depth during the strategic meeting. As a result, the assigned staff made a quick presentation before deciding to turn it into a bulletin so that it could be distributed to the staff and partners and provide them with sufficient context for our core values. In addition, Ambassadors have assigned each core value voluntarily with the purpose of nurturing it within the organization and outside the organization.
Accountability and Transparency are among the basic core values of BPDO to build a participative governance system with trust full relationship in all its operations among staff, partners and beneficiaries. These include disclosing of clear guidance, policies, procedures and other relevant working practices and information to the required bodies with the concepts of “listen, ask, act, interact and inform. The general definitions of the terms are as follows:
Transparency means creating an enabling environment for others to see and understand how they operate in an honest way. This does not mean all information should be made publicly available. There are certain types of information that may not be provided publicly such as private information (such as client records etc.
The major importance of Accountability and Transparency

It creates loyalty and People need to know that the work they do matters and feel to contribute to meet the vision of the organization
It increases your people’s accountability for people to take full ownership of their goals and objectives.

It allows for a clearer overview of organizational strategies, actions, Decisions and leadership needs.
Respect: Honoring others by treating them with courtesy, politeness, and kindness has a significant impact on teamwork and organizational overall efficiency. BPDO and its employees at all levels must be aware of the importance of respecting others regardless of their culture, religion, race, or gender. It is critical to consider how employees and employers can interact with one another in order to achieve their common organizational goal. All actors working toward a common goal should respect both internal (Employees, Systems, Structures, Supervisors, Directions, Principles, Ideas, Thoughts, Ideologies, race, Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines, etc.) and external (Beneficiaries’ rights and confidentiality, Donors, Stakeholders, National policies and guidelines, Government laws, rules, and regulations, etc.) practices that reflect attitudes toward respect. Organizations also respect and implement policies and procedures consistently so people feel that they are treated fairly and equally. Treating people differently can constitute harassment or a hostile work environment.
Recognition: – Employee recognition has long been a cornerstone of effective management. But today, as the competition for talent escalates, the ways organizations show that they value their employees have become more important than ever. Employee recognition refers to all the ways an organization shows its appreciation for employees’ contributions. It can take many forms and may or may not involve monetary compensation. BPDO recognition refers employees, donors, stakeholders and others who have contributing effort on the existence of BPDO. Employee recognition helps to retain top talent, increase employee engagement and encourage high performance.
Volunteerism is inherited since the inception of the organization as an identity. BPDO was established by young, energetic youths who were passionate about serving the community. As we know, volunteerism is donating time and energy for the benefit of other people in the community as a social responsibility rather than for any financial reward or is a voluntary act of an individual or group freely giving time and labor for community services. Since its establishment, a wide range of voluntary works were doing to nurture and make it organizational culture. BPDO staff contribute 1% of its salary to support needy people particularly elderly, OVC. PLHIV and disabled. Currently, BPDO is strongly working in promoting volunteerism at national level through various platforms like using FM radio and social media, organizing voluntary events, collaborating with relevant government bodies, civil society organizations and influential volunteers.

Partnership is an association of two or more parties who agree to carry on a lawful business/activities in common with the object of sharing in partnership. The partners provide the capital and share the responsibility for running the business on an agreed basis. A partnership has two or more members, each of whom is responsible for the obligation of the partnership. Each of the partners may bind the others, and the assets of each of the partners may be taken for the debts of the partnership.
Building Valuable Partnerships: Engaging stakeholders is an important business management tool to build an effective partnership that can help to make better decisions, deliver better products and services, improve our operations, and increase our value in our community and network.
Stakeholders can be internal or external: Internal stakeholders are employees, management, executives, shareholders, boards, and committees. We can engage these groups in our business and strategic planning exercises; change management planning; professional development planning; and continuous improvement activities. Internal stakeholders can provide intimate feedback on business processes, internal relationships, staff morale, organizational limitations and strengths, and opportunities for improvement. External stakeholders are our clients & customers, civic leaders & politicians, our professional network, and community members. Engaging these groups can help us gather feedback on our products & services; build better relationships between network members; obtain a third-person perspective on our organization’s reputation and external appearance, and extract critical information to shape our business and strategic planning.
